As an artist, educator, and language worker, I look for opportunities that enable cultural understanding throughout Wurundjeri Country. When participating in creative projects, I consolidate my understanding about my ancestors and Country: thereby learning, growing, and strengthening my identity. This work continues the reciprocal relationship between Country and its peoples that has existed here since time began. These interactions are always happening, in the here and now.

ngarnga ba dhumbudjirri biik is a conversation with a waterway we now call Olinda Creek. Immersing myself in one location, I draw on existing knowledge and grow my relationship with Country, while asserting my right to use language in a way that makes sense to me. I believe Country has been patiently waiting to hear her mother tongue again. This work is personal and highlights the intimate relationships between people and place.
