Accessible ngurrak barring
Artworks and facilities to ensure people of all abilities can enjoy ngurrak barring

Visiting some parts of ngurrak barring can be more of a challenge for people living with disability, however, there are a range of artworks and facilities to help people of all abilities enjoy the ngurrak barring experience.

Storm Leaves, Kallista
There are five Storm Leaves sculptures along ngurrak barring. Four of the five will be in areas with accessible facilities.
- Grants Picnic Ground, Kallista
Facilities include accessible parking, accessible toilets, picnic area. A level, gravel path runs by the artwork.
This connects to Bleakly Track – which is a sealed gravel path at an even gradient between Grants Picnic ground, and the edge of Belgrave. Here it ends in a wooden boardwalk, going down, opposite Micawbers Tavern, Belgrave. There is no safe crossing at this point, and the track joins the sidewalk, with an uneven surface.
At far end of Grants Picnic Ground, begins Coles Ridge Track – an even gradient, car-wide track through the forest to ngurrak barring’s Country Architectural Node (coming soon). While relatively flat, this is a dirt track that gets muddy in wet weather.
Grants Picnic Ground is closed on days of total fire ban. Always check conditions before you travel.
